It's possible to be a Harry Potter nerd, and still be Christian.
I draw numberous pictures of the Death Eaters, and I'll pray to God when I go to bed.
I've went through 3 of the books in one week, and I still read the Bible.
Two of my favorite characters are Snape and Voldemort both bad (or formerly bad) guys, and I try to donate time/money/clothes to those in need.
If you feel wrong about watching it, I understand. The Bible does say not to do witchcraft.
But I am doing no such thing. I'm simply enjoying a well-written series. I'm not out splitting my soul, or performing spells on anybody. The way I see it, as long as I'm not doing anything that they do in the books, I'm alright.
Before I even posted my first HP picture on here, I was praying to see if God didn't want me to read/watch them, and even as I picked up the first book, I felt nothing but excitement. And God knows me and my weaknesses better than I do myself.
Harry Potter won't keep you from going to Heaven. Not having a relationship with God will, though.
Sincerely,
